If you’re wanting to try mineral makeup for the first time you should pick up Everyday Minerals’ free sample makeup kit! It comes with 3 foundation samples, a concealer, and a blush. All you have to pay for is shipping (which was $3.09 for me). Once you add the custom kit to your cart, it allows you to drag and drop the samples you want into your cart. If you’re asian, you’ll love that they offer “olive” tones!! BTW, I’ve tried the very popular Bare Escentuals and my face was really itchy from using it. I read reviews that said Everyday Minerals does not cause that itchiness so I’m anxious to try it!

If you need help picking the type, this might help:

Original Glo for that added touch of dewiness and long lasting coverage, and is ideal for normal to dry skin.

Semi-Matte for a more subtle glow, formulated for normal to combination skin.

Matte for a silky smooth matte finish that is ideal for normal to oily skin.

Intensive for a silky near-matte finish and controls oil where needed without drying your skin and is suitable for all skin types.

EM is my everyday go-to mineral makeup. i think ive tried 5 different free samples and still had a hard time finding the right one, haha… but i think i managed to get pretty close. the olive tones didn’t work for me, but i think im more of the ‘golden’. EM are not itchy like bare minerals because it does not contain bismuth oxychloride which also makes BM look a little pearlized which some people dont like. there are a lot of smaller independent mineral companies out there (than BM) but EM is definitely one of my faves! :D
